New Year, New Goals, New Accountability ???? The other day, I was listening to BBC Radio One, and they were discussing whether we should replace the word "resolution" with "intention" for the New Year. Their reasoning? The word "resolution" supposedly carries negative connotations, especially if you don’t achieve what you’ve set out to do. Using "intention" was seen as a way to avoid feelings of shame or failure. Honestly, I didn’t agree at all. While I understand the importance of self-compassion, I think there’s value in accountability. If we don’t achieve something within our control, shouldn’t we reflect, take responsibility, and use it as a lesson to grow? ???? Life will always throw curveballs ???, and sometimes external factors make our goals unattainable, which is understandable. But when the outcome is in our hands, it’s important to own our failures and learn from them, rather than rebranding them to avoid discomfort. Growth doesn’t come from blame-shifting; it comes from resilience and taking action. ??? So, here’s to 2025 resolutions. Not intentions. Resolutions that push us to be better, take responsibility, and learn along the way. Let’s make it a year of accountability and progress! ????

As we are winding up 2024, I want to share a simple thought: success is success, no matter how small it may seem. Each achievement, every step forward—big or small—deserves to be celebrated. Sometimes we get so caught up in chasing the "next big thing" that we forget to acknowledge the milestones we’ve already crossed. But here’s the truth: every bit of progress matters. Be proud of what you achieve and take the time to truly enjoy it. Work shouldn't feel like a constant grind. It’s okay to find joy in the journey, to take pride in the wins that may seem modest to others but hold great meaning to you.
