Concerts are beneficial to artistes in many ways. Exposure: Concerts expose artistes to new audiences and fans. It promotes their music. Express their creativity: Artists can express themselves through live performances and connect with fans in a phenomenal way. Money: The artistes earn a percentage of the ticket price, either as a flat fee or they get a share of the total ticket revenue.

With a conservative estimate suggesting that approximately 30% of the festival-goers may opt to consume pills or powders of unknown composition, the university must determine the most effective approach for ensuring the safety and well-being of the attendees. Conducting testing before individuals use the substances presents several advantages. Pre-event testing allows for the identification of potentially harmful substances before they are ingested, enabling organizers to provide crucial information to attendees about the risks associated with the drugs in circulation. This proactive approach empowers individuals to make informed decisions regarding their substance use and may deter some from consuming hazardous substances altogether. In employment screenings, drug testing is common to ensure workplace safety and support individuals with substance abuse challenges. In a similar vein, drug testing is vital in the public sector to uphold safety standards and comply with regulations in various fields like law enforcement, transportation, and government organizations. Overall, the widespread use of drug testing helps create safer environments, promote accountability, and mitigate risks associated with substance abuse globally. Grant opportunity: Revive Live Open 05/08/24; Closes 23/08/24; up to $200,000; National The program will provide essential support to established live music venues and music festivals to assist them to continue to operate in the current operating climate, limiting venue closures and event cancellations, and stimulating long-term sustainability. It will also focus on activities that improve accessibility and provide participation opportunities for audiences, and career pathways for musicians and music workers, with disability. There are different streams. Within the total available funding, $1.2 million will be available for applications that specifically address activities to improve accessibility at established live music venues or established music festivals.
