A digital marketer should be good at: -Facebook and Instagram, and know about other social platforms like TikTok, LinkedIn, and Snapchat. -Be an expert in Meta Ads. -Be an expert in coordinating design team -Moderation. -Make and execute strategies. -Do content marketing and make strategies -Analyze data. -Knowing Google Ads is a bonus! But it doesn't mean one person can do all these things alone. You're benefiting from their skills. If you’re hiring for Digital Marketing dept please make sure you have a team for this department. Circle is hiring a Head of Marketing. Here's 3 reasons why I think it's a dream role 1/ The product I realized in my career that marketing can't help a shitty product. If the product isn't good, people don't want to buy the thing, no matter how much demand you create. But, that wouldn't be a problem at Circle. I use the product everyday to run Exit Five and I love it. They have a deep feature set and are adding new stuff every month to level up. Our community wouldn't be what it is without Circle powering it. 2/ The people I've had calls with people on their team and everyone has been so kind, passionate about the company, and smart. You can tell they are intentional with their hiring and everyone at the company is bought into what they're building. They are building something special and everyone at the company seems to know it. This is rare. 3/ The industry IMO, the key to building a strong community is by starting with a strong audience. It's hard to get people into a community without an audience. Nowadays, everyone is building an audience, so evidently, I think online communities will only become more popular over time. And, I see it firsthand in the Exit Five community. There's lots of creators and companies considering community and which platform is best to build on. --- I didn't talk about the actual job itself, but I'll let you read that in the job description. A candidate for a paid campaign manager role we’re looking to fill shared with me she is handling 10 accounts at her current firm. That is so wrong on so many levels. If you’re one of those clients: - You’re getting very little by way of communication - You're getting even less by way of data and strategy - Your account lead is stretched so thin they’re likely spending as much as possible on as few creators as possible to check the box and move on - You're likely working with the same batch of creators from the same talent management firms to lighten the work load And if you’re the account manager, you *will* burn out. That’s not an *if*, it’s a *when*. Handing an account manager 10 accounts is inhumane. It means the agency you’re working at is putting dollars before your well-being. (For the sake of comparison, the average number of accounts we hand to a manager is 2. Yes, 2.) Influencer marketing managers *can* deliver the best amplification on the planet that will help a company earn global recognition, acquire swaths of customers, sell out new launches, and feed stellar content to all other channels. But not if you treat them like a beast of burden. (If you've reached out to us in the last few months you know we have a long waitlist. This is why. I will not hire just anyone to catch the knocks on the door and I *WILL NOT* hand my account leads more than 3 accounts under any circumstance - and even 3 has to be a very, very special circumstance. 2 is the norm.) cc Amelia Soohoo Happy Fourth! ????
