Fantastic collaboration between M.S. in Biotechnology Program, UW-Madison, WiCell, and Madison Area Technical College to provide our working learners the most cutting edge content that they can apply in their jobs immediately. This is the type of synergy that defines a tech hub!
This weekend WiCell had the great pleasure of hosting a workshop with students of the Masters of Science in Biotechnology Program through UW-Madison. These students, currently enrolled in the Molecular Technologies 3 Class at UW-Madison, got hands-on experience with their own plate of cells. Through the guidance of WiCell staff, students were able to able learn how to culture, feed, and passage cells. In addition, they were able to learn about current advancement in the stem cell fields and different characterization assays we do here at WiCell! We would like to extend a big thank you to Gustavo Velazquez at Madison Area Technical College for providing access to their excellent teaching lab and the M.S. in Biotechnology Program, UW-Madison for making this collaboration possible!
