Welcome to the Midlands Drinks Reception
Medilink Midlands opened its international showcase activity with a drinks reception at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, where we welcomed the first of our international delegates including Carlos Diaz, CEO?Digital4Health,?Spain?and David Schneider from NRW.Global Business , Germany.
Attendees heard from Medilink Midlands' Chairman Professor Martin Levermore MBE DL as he introduced the international showcase and advised how to get the most out of the event.
The event also hosted talks from Nikki Whitfield from Upperton Pharma Solutions and Robert Salt?from Salts Healthcare , as they shared their inspiring stories, exporting achievements and the benefits of being a Midlands-based business.
Med-Tech Innovation Expo 2024
The MTI Expo is a 2-day event held at the NEC in Birmingham on 5 and 6 June?designed to attract regional, national and overseas visitors from the?med-tech community to the Midlands.
This year, a key highlight to the Medilink Midlands stand was the supporting international representatives from across the globe, keen to meet with our network.
Medilink Midlands hosted informative 1-to-1 discovery talks with representatives from RISE Institute , Romania, Germany’s North Rhine-Westphalia and EFEC - Excellence First Enterprise Consultancy , a highly respected expert in UK/China partnerships. In addition, the Global Trade Department was on hand to facilitate and answer any technical questions around import/export documentation.
We are delighted to have received overwhelmingly positive feedback from the discovery talks.?The international representatives were able to share the strength and depth of the med-tech market within their own countries and offer an insight as to how collaborations could be built.
We will continue?to share our exciting news and developments that follow our international showcase week, and most importantly the opportunities.
Aimed at pre-startup companies, the MeTAP Innovation Accelerator will provide a detailed overview of how to set up a company within med-tech, life science and wellbeing sector.

Global drug-device combination product CDMO Kindeva Drug Delivery (Kindeva) announced the expansion of its Loughborough facilities at the Charnwood Campus Science Innovation and Technology Park .
This strategic move by Kindeva supports the growth of green propellant commercialisation and secures a dedicated space for the company’s commercial analytical laboratory services team, who will be housed at this location after renovations are completed later this year.

Pharmaceutical manufacturing company Dalton Pharma Services (DPS) has commissioned Warwick-based 3P innovation Limited to design and construct a fully automated state-of-the-art high-speed aseptic powder filling line to expedite the delivery of drugs to market in a more compliant, efficient and economical manner.

Leicester Grammar School (LGS) is seeking the support of businesses for its Careers Fair on 24 September for pupils from Year 9 to Year 13.
