Outcomes matter. #NationalPrimaryCareWeek
We must invest in primary care at a level that reflects its immense value. Primary care is the only part of the healthcare delivery system where an increased supply is tied to better population health and equitable outcomes. Yet, as the Milbank Memorial Fund has documented, the United States continues to underinvest in primary care. Currently, national spending on primary care is only 5-7 cents of each healthcare dollar. In their “2024 Primary Care Scorecard” report, Milbank Memorial Fund recommends greater investment in the nation’s largest network of primary care providers: Community Health Centers. #NPCW Graphic credit: Primary Care for America
