Anecdotally, there is clear evidence that these challenges exist, but the problem is not precisely understood. Dumfries and Galloway Council, Scottish Borders Council, South of Scotland Enterprise, Scottish Futures Trust and South of Scotland Community Housing have teamed up to investigate the need and demand for key worker housing in Dumfries & Galloway and Scottish Borders, assess the impacts of any housing shortages and identify potential solutions. It is especially important that we hear directly from employers and workers, including those who work in the region and those who wish to relocate there. We wish to know about any housing issues which you are experiencing, or expect to face in the future, and how they are affecting you and your family, colleagues, organisation and sector.
