Intersectionality was a lived reality before it became a term. These words of Kimberlé Crenshaw, who coined the so-much-mainstreamed-but-also-misunderstood term, could not explain better what I feel. Then I go to bell hooks and I remember: learning about your pain is a good way to deal with it. I am glad to have had the opportunity to group some insights about intersectionality in the manual “The Intersectional Work”. This was the result of many months of reading and understanding policies in Germany and the EU. The result of trying to make people understand how we can (really) work towards leaving no one behind.
