In our latest research from the Corn Seed Focus360 Study, we learned that direct interactions between brands and growers, although infrequent, have a profound impact on growers' planning for future seasons. #Innovation is hard and that is why I love it. Reflecting on the work leading my team at Bolthouse Farms on creating the new Hydration Plus platform (out now!), I think about engaging with consumers in co-discovery, editing concept statements, tasting prototypes, evaluating P&Ls, and attending stage gate meetings. This is the easy part. The hard part of innovation is #advocating. Advocating for an idea that does not exist yet, a different price point, a unique RTB, a new ingredient, for not just doing what the other guys are doing. Advocating until you have something tangible for stakeholders to see, hold, and taste and then continuing to advocate for the consumer wants and needs when everyone has an opinion to share. The only thing that comes close to growing your own… …is someone growing it for you ??at a California Family Legacy Farm ?? Himalaya Vapes and Dabs are exclusively sourced from Farms. It’s right on the label ?. A dozen farms throughout the state in the best #microclimates and growing regions. These are the “single vineyards,” of weed. Coming from the wine biz, I see sun-grown eclipsing indoor for quality to the future. All the nuances that make up “terroir” in wine can be explored with flower. We will see, and taste, the differences that only sun, soil, wind and human obsession and direction can bring. I’ve been growing my own since 2019 right in my sunny backyard. These babies grew to 14ft and produced 3lbs of Mac 2, London Pound Cake and Apple Fritter. A lot of great smoke and concentrates for months! Spring is coming, and I’ll have to pop some seeds soon, plant and let nature do it’s thing ??. Not sure what I want to try this year, as long as one is #sativa Do you grow your own too?
