The first rule of Asimov’s Three Rules for Robotics is: “A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.” We were proud to join Boston Dynamics in Albany on Tuesday to raise awareness of the robotics industry in New York and the need to pass the Responsible Robotics Act,?a first-in-the-nation law to prohibit the weaponization of robots and drones. We’d like to thank Assemblymember Clyde Vanel and Senator Jeremy Cooney for championing this bill and positioning New York State as a leader in smart robotics policy, which will attract top talent and investment, setting a gold standard for the robotics industry around the world.
