Not sci-fi, not experimental, not even pilot programs, autonomous driving cars are in use, day in day out in real business scenarios, on a large scale. The AI transformation is happening NOW. The impact to the #FutureOfWork will be tremendous. Not just the transportation industry or the transitional truck drivers, the newly booming “delivery” industry (think of Uber drivers and Amazon deliverers) are now threatened. If those “backup” jobs for unskilled workers are threatened by AI, what is the alternative “outlet” industries? The only respectable way out is to upskill our current workforce to work more productive with AI technology. On the positive note, the productivity gains from AI are real and huge. Those productivity gains should be translated into universal benefits, less working hours and more humane works, if we have the right policies. Congratulations Yan Li and Kaixin Xu! Exciting news from Arbe?(#nasdaq: ARBE), an MS-IR LLC client, announcing the dual listing of the company’s ordinary shares on both the Nasdaq and the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange - ?????? ??????? ??? (TASE). In a recent classified investor bid, the company also received an overwhelming response for the proposed $32 million convertible debt offering. The demand exceeded expectations, reaching 230% of the amount offered. “We are very pleased with the interest and preliminary commitments for the debenture offering and the listing of our ordinary shares on TASE,” said Kobi Marenko, CEO of Arbe. “This demonstrates the growing interest and strong belief in the company's prospects. Led by partners Roland Maass and Florian Bruder, we advised VARTA AG on the conclusion of several key agreements with its financiers and investors as well as, led by partner Wolfram Distler, on a bridge financing as part of the ongoing restructuring under the StaRUG. These agreements mark a significant milestone, including a capital increase and an investor agreement with Porsche AG. Additionally, led by partner Gerald Schumann, we advised VARTA AG on the formation of a joint venture with Porsche. As part of the joint venture, Porsche will acquire a majority stake in V4Drive Battery GmbH, currently still a wholly owned subsidiary of VARTA AG, via a capital increase. CATL LRS model operates with light assets, mainly targeting the United States market, and its subsequent share is expected to breakthrough and increase. For the United Statesmarket, CATL has launched a technology licensing model, namely a licensing, authorisation and service model. CATL will be responsible for building battery production lines, setting up supply chains, debugging production line equipment and managing manufacturing processes, while the capital expenditure of the factory is borne entirely by the auto companies. CATL will not hold shares in the cooperative factories, but charges patent licensing fees and service fees. The LRS model operates with light assets, helping OEMs and even battery factories to quickly build battery factories. It has currently cooperated with Ford, GM, and Tesla, and is expected to be promoted to other European and American auto companies and gigafactories in the future.
