In reflecting upon my role as the Chief Administrative Officer for KBM Ministry and my aspirations, Luke 6:36 (NLT) stands out as a guiding light, 'You must be compassionate, just as your Father is compassionate.' This principle is not only a cornerstone of faith but a fundamental aspect of leadership and business ethics. Today, I'm sharing an image that captures the essence of this verse - an embodiment of compassion and empathy. In our endeavors, may we always lead with compassion, fostering an environment where our communities can thrive. It's a transformational approach that aligns perfectly with my admiration for Dr. Myles Munroe's teachings. Let's inspire a cycle of kindness and compassion in our professional and personal lives. #LeadershipWithCompassion #Luke636 #EthicalLeadership

This quote has actually been around for years, but David Goggins recently used it while traveling through Bear Country. If you follow David at all, you probably chucked reading this and know how appropriate it is for him. The takeaway from this and all of David's teachings is having a never-fail attitude. In law enforcement, it is often referred to as the winning mind. This concept must be a part of regular training for our people, and it should be frequently reinforced by the leadership. #lead #leadership #policechief #thinblueline #growth #leadingblue #police #leadershipdevelopment #thejob #lawenforcement #backtheblue #corrections #sheriff #resiliency #statepolice #troopers #campuspolice #LeadersLead #ileeta #iaclea #iacp #nsa

Here's something just realized: while advocating for justice and peace, it's crucial to ensure we're not inadvertently supporting oppressors with our words. This has served as a powerful reminder of the importance of mindful communication. Let's continue to grow and learn together. #Peace #Justice #Leadership #MindfulCommunication #ContinuousImprovement https://lnkd.in/ezQNXtTf @thehappygivers

In our classes, we ask about various leadership books, and it is rare to find students who have read them. Many organizations have recommended or required reading lists. Law enforcement should be a leader here, but we're not even close. Here are five titles from our reading list that every law enforcement leader should read: (Have a suggestion? We'd love to hear it!) #Lead It's Your Ship by Michael Abrashoff Multipliers by Liz Wiseman Leaders Eat Last by Simon Sinek Turn This Ship Around by David Marquet Extreme Ownership by Jocko Willink and Leif Babin #leadership #policechief #thinblueline #growth #leadingblue #police #leadershipdevelopment #thejob #lawenforcement #backtheblue #corrections #sheriff #resiliency #statepolice #troopers #campuspolice #LeadersLead #ileeta #iaclea #iacp #nsa

?? ???????????????????? ??????????????????: ?? ???????? ???? ???????? ?????? ???????????????????? ?? In a thought-provoking commencement address at Cardigan Mountain School, Chief Justice John G. Roberts shared a powerful message that resonates deeply in both our personal and professional lives: "?? ???????? ?????? ?????? ????????.” At first glance, this may seem #counterintuitive, but his point is profound. Adversity is not just a hurdle; it’s an opportunity for growth. Key takeaways that can inspire us all: 1?? ?????????? ???????? ????????????????????: Every #setback teaches us valuable lessons about resilience, justice, and loyalty. Embracing difficulties can help us develop the grit needed to navigate life's complexities. 2?? ?????????????????? ????????????????????: Experiencing hardships allows us to understand and empathise with others. It’s through these experiences that we build stronger #connections and foster a supportive community. 3?? ???????????????????? ??????????????????: Let’s not forget the sacrifices made by those who support us—our families, mentors, and friends. Acknowledging their contributions can #fuel our motivation to persevere. The next time you face a challenge, remember that it’s not just an obstacle; it is a stepping stone toward becoming a more resilient and compassionate individual??? Full speech available here: https://lnkd.in/gZh27PDf [TLDR: Jump to 10:18 ??] (Hat tip to Avi Z Liran, CSP, Author, Global Leadership EX Speaker for bringing this brilliant piece to my attention??.) #grit #resilience #leadership #growthmindset

Had a great chat with a policing Superintendent from "down under" today! As expected, we chatted about the importance of leadership in the profession. And (moreover), we both agree that; being in a people-leader role (among other considerations) is unequivocally about motivating & guiding all persons towards a common shared goal and vision. It is not about creating inequity or divide (whether real, perceived or otherwise). #leadership #police

What motivates us individually and as a team to achieve inclusive, responsive and equitable justice in Saskatchewan? This was the question posed by Jayne Mallin, Legal Aid Saskatchewan’s CEO, at a recent Learn to Lead, Lead to Learn forum with LAS staff. Referring to Dan Pink’s three intrinsic elements of motivation – autonomy, purpose and mastery – attendees contemplated the level of autonomy and opportunities for mastery in their current roles, and how they want to further advance Legal Aid Saskatchewan’s strategic priorities. Legal Aid Saskatchewan’s Learn to Lead, Lead to Learn forum is an engaging discussion period where different leadership topics are explored and debated amongst employees. As champions for access to justice, it is essential for our team to listen to each other's insights and express ideas in a safe and supportive forum. The Learn to Lead, Lead to Learn discussions benefit our organizational culture and staff engagement. We are a purpose-driven team producing exceptional outcomes! #legalaid #motivation #leadership #goals #success #teamwork #employees #learntolead #leadtolearn
