As we get ready to celebrate our nation's independence with family, friends, and fireworks, let's keep safety a top priority. Here are a few tips to ensure a fun and safe holiday: 1) Fireworks Safety: Only use fireworks that are legal in your area. Always light them one at a time and never relight a dud. Keep a bucket of water or a garden hose nearby. 2) Grill Safety: Keep your grill at least 10 feet away from your house, deck railings, and out from under eaves and overhanging branches. Never leave the grill unattended, and ensure the grill lid is open when lighting it. 3) Pet Safety: Keep pets indoors during fireworks. The loud noises can be terrifying for them. Ensure they have a safe, quiet space to retreat to. 4) Water Safety: If you're hitting the pool, lake, or beach, make sure everyone knows how to swim and keep an eye on children at all times. Never swim alone and be aware of local water conditions. Enjoy the festivities and have a fantastic 4th of July! Stay safe, everyone!
