Exceed quota's for one year or retain top performing reps? Which is more valuable? The sales industry tends to have a stigma of churning through their employees and positions end up being like a revolving door. How do we change this stigma? First, it starts with the leaders. We have to take the time to develop our staff and treat them well. This doesn't mean shy away from challenging conversations it just means not being a jerk. Unfortunately, some leaders cannot differentiate the two which is why they constantly have openings on their team. I would much rather have a manager who hits 100% quota dead on, retains and develops his staff, and continues to grow each year thereafter. What are your thoughts?
