VOTING TOMORROW ?? According to YouGov polling, only 12 percent of people consider education one of the most important issues facing the country, ranking it significantly lower than the economy, health, and immigration. Education, however, is a key priority for me. If it matters to you as well, I encourage you to read the manifestos and education policies of the major political parties. At first glance, it’s unclear which party will effectively address our education system. Some offer only piecemeal solutions, while others seem to engage in political posturing. I will vote for the party that demonstrates a genuine commitment to valuing education, investing in our schools, and supporting our young people. They should ensure that our children receive the quality education they deserve. #Education #Labour #Conservatives #Government #Politics

So today we reflect on the dawn of a new government under Labour and what that brings to Isle Study Centre and the whole education sector as a whole and the alternative education provision sector for the area we serve of Doncaster and Scunthorpe. What we are witnessing in the education system, both in Tasmania and across the nation is ineffective policymaking by those in power and a war on culture...Not only towards Catholic/independent schools but on evidence, critical thinking and the truth. In addition to the attack on parent's rights and the neglection of lower socioeconomic areas we have also witnessed the collapse of social cohesion that had helped prevent youth crime, and supported student engagement. But most concerning, we've seen the forcing of progressive sociopolitical agendas on students which has en mass created a generation of rebels and dissenters, as well as individuals who may lay flat and give up. In addition, subjects such as history has been dominated by socialists which has resulted in the distortion of the truth in topics such as WW1, WW2. Not only is the education system failing but it's also misinforming people about the past which is impacting our perceptions of the world in the present day. The education system needs restructuring and it needs reform, and I'm hoping the people who are able to make practical change will step up and do so. EDUCATION ONLY FOR THE RICH? Project 2025 wants to dismantle the US Department of Education. The authors want education to be handled at the state level. In New Hampshire and many other states, libertarians are seeking to downshift the responsibility from the state to towns. Supposedly, this gives towns the "choice" of how much to spend on education. Proposition 314, formerly known as HCR 2060, would allow a significant increase in immigration enforcement activities, allowing the law to be applied in many places of refuge, including schools. It is estimated that 140,000 U.S. citizen children in Arizona live in households with one or more undocumented parents or caregivers. Enacting Proposition 314 will heighten the fear of immigration enforcement in schools, causing many students to avoid attending and further worsen Arizona’s chronic absenteeism crisis. Why does this matter? Consistent attendance is one of the best predictors of a student’s ability to achieve higher education and to move Arizona forward, we must set our students up for success. Research shows that Arizona needs to add 500,000 more people with postsecondary education by 2030 to meet the demands of it’s growing economy. There is ample evidence that participation in American democracy has declined since the mid-20th century. Numerous studies highlight the alarming drop in civic engagement, such as voting and involvement in local community organizations. Historically, higher education has been regarded as crucial for promoting democratic values that are vital to the nation’s well-being. While economic development is often seen as the primary goal of higher education, there is considerable debate about what role it should ideally serve in a diverse and evolving society. As Boyer (1990) aptly stated, education should not only prepare students for productive careers but also help them live lives of dignity and purpose. It should generate knowledge and direct it toward human welfare, not merely study government but shape citizens who work to advance the public good.

The role of government in democracy is to develop and strengthen education, health, communication, and security for the common people, as well as provide financial assistance for progress. Education enriches life beyond just employment, emphasizing personal growth and livelihood. It's individuals' responsibility to pursue education and employment according to their abilities. Relying solely on government for life's struggles is unwise; government assistance isn't about free handouts but utilizing public funds responsibly. Public debt is a collective responsibility, funded through taxes and essential goods prices. Conscious individuals focus on their work and refrain from unnecessary criticism or praise, understanding it doesn't benefit anyone. True power lies in righteousness, not sycophancy or selfishness. Maintain dignity as a conscious citizen and vote for educated, morally upright leaders, transcending political affiliations.
