Labour and Liberals! If you don’t change your disastrous policy on allowing international students to study in Australia, countries like the UK will take this huge contributor to Australia's GDP away. We can kiss goodbye to the fourth-largest contributor to the Australian economy, and you will have to find another way to recover this revenue so taxpayers don’t continue to bear the burden of bad policy. Let’s get back to inviting international students who bring so much more than just revenue into this country. Mr Anthony Albanese, why are you not on a platform to welcome these valued International students to our country? It is time to fix this disastrous policy. #rto #highered #internationaleducation #training
?? “You [international students] take a leap of faith, to develop new skills and chase new horizons, and I am enormously proud that you want to take that leap here in the UK.” Today the UK Department for Education shared a message for international students from the Secretary of State for Education, Bridget Phillipson. She welcomed them to the UK and expressed both her support and admiration for their decision to pursue their education here. We here at UKCISA welcome this positive message and look forward to continuing to work with the new UK government to ensure that every international student who comes to study and live in the UK has a great experience.

Recently met with Iain Watt, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (International) at UTS, to discuss on the shifting paradigm of global education. As the dynamics of international student mobility are redefined, transnational education (TNE) emerges as an indispensable framework. The prospect of forging strategic alliances across borders offers an unparalleled opportunity to empower students with the autonomy to pursue world-class education, irrespective of geographic limitations. Education without borders is not merely a concept—it’s the trajectory we are committed to advancing. Excited to see how these dialogues will shape the future of global learning. #GlobalEducation #TNE #EducationWithoutBorders #ShapingTheFuture #InternationalStudents #InternationalEducation

Can you imagine doing that at 16? What’s most inspiring about our students isn’t just their academic potential, but their drive to make a real difference in the world. This article is a great reminder of how exceptional they truly are. https://lnkd.in/e_CEribH

A commitment to social justice is certainly what attracted me to UoN.
“Some unis already offer these courses. Not many do it better than Newcastle University. They’ve been doing it now for 50 years.” – Hon Jason Clare MP, Minister for Education, in parliament this morning. We are proud to be the exemplar for equity in higher education and deliver Australia’s largest and oldest ‘uni ready’ enabling program – Open Foundation. Our commitment to equity, diversity and inclusiveness is fundamental to everything we do. We believe that every person has the right to participate and succeed. Since 1974 we have provided more than 70,000 people with the opportunity to experience a higher education thanks to our pathway programs.

In this interview, Dr Vincent Chian, Principal of Fairview Kuala Lumpur, discusses the huge opportunity for investors in the education sector. Watch here ? https://lnkd.in/exKsafz4 Fairview International (LON; FIL), a provider of high-quality international schools across Asia Pacific and the United Kingdom, recently raised £2.7m in a successful IPO on London’s main market. The company operates two international schools in Malaysia, with a strategy of expanding organically and via acquisition in fast growing Asian economies, and by consolidating the distressed UK sector where many sub-scale, and therefore unprofitable, public schools are threatened with closure. Notably, there are three other schools in Malaysia and one in the UK that also trade under the Fairview brand, which are outside of the plc group. We spoke to Dr Vincent Chian, Principal of Fairview Kuala Lumpur, whose experience as a former psychologist has driven him to put student welfare and building mental resilience at the heart of Fairview’s educational philosophy. In this interview, investors will hear: - Why the company focuses on the International Baccalaureate qualification - How the company’s educational philosophy focuses on equipping pupils for the future workplace - How the Company can run schools profitably with just 150 pupils, well below the 250-pupil breakeven point of many UK schools - How the group plans to expand from its existing two-school presence in Malaysia into Indonesia, Vietnam and Thailand, alongside possibly consolidating the UK public school sector - How the company’s industry leading teacher training programme secures supply of IB qualified teachers, maintains high levels of outcomes for pupils and protects operating margins Reasons to add FIL to your watchlist: - A unique asset portfolio on London’s stock market, providing its customers affordable access to top ranked International Baccalaureate education - An organic and acquisitive play offering investors exposure to both the fast-growing Asian markets, and a consolidation opportunity in the UK - Strong financial performance to date with an efficient operating model that underpins further profitable expansion - Unique access to an enlarged group of schools, trading under the Fairview brand, for potential acquisitions - Proven process driven delivery of the prestigious International Baccalaureate qualification that can be leveraged into offering new, technology-enabled, revenue streams Dr Vincent Chian, Principal of Fairview Kuala Lumpur, was interviewed by John Hughman for focusIR #FIL #education #internationalbaccalaureate #investors #ukstockmarket #londonstockexchange
