In the wake of the devastating destruction caused by Hurricane Helene, our hearts go out to the countless communities affected by this tragic storm. Many have lost homes, livelihoods, and even loved ones. At Lambda Chi Alpha, we are committed to standing by our Brothers in times of need. To provide emergency aid to support Brothers impacted by qualified disasters, the Lambda Chi Foundation created the Anchor Fund. Your generous donations will directly support emergency aid grants for Brothers affected by a disaster to cover essential needs. Brothers with demonstrated financial need as a result of a qualified disaster may receive direct funds for essential needs: food, shelter, medical needs, and employment-critical transportation. As recovery from Tuesday’s tornadoes begins, United Way SCMI and Kalamazoo Community Foundation (KZCF) are joining in collaboration to lend our shared strengths to relief efforts. We are working alongside partners at Gryphon Place and 211 as they identify community needs and determine how best to mobilize resources. To contribute to the overall recovery effort, you can donate to one of the crisis funds that United Way and KZCF have in place for events such as these.
