Guess what? I passed the ISTQB foundation level test and now I'm officially a Certified tester and Quality Analyst! I learned a bunch of new stuff that I can use in my job. Here are some tips that helped me out: ?? Check out the ISTQB syllabus and exam structure so you know what to expect. ?? Practice with sample questions and mock exams to get the hang of it. ?? Study with friends to make learning more fun and keep each other motivated. ?? Make sure you understand the main ideas, don't just memorize facts. ? While it can be tricky, remember, if I can do it, you can too! ? The syllabus is organized into six chapters. While some suggest beginning with Chapter 3 or 6 because they are shorter, I recommend starting with Chapter 1. Following a step-by-step approach will help you build a strong foundation. Focus on understanding the concepts rather than just memorizing them. Consistent daily study will make a big difference, and you’ll find that the official book is all you need to pass the exam—there's no need to purchase additional courses from platforms like Udemy. ?? I prepared for the exam over about 15 days. ? Here’s my approach ??: ? I studied the entire syllabus (V4.0) and practiced all the sample papers available on the ISTQB website (https://lnkd.in/dBgwQ7Wt). This practice helped me understand the types of questions and their level of difficulty. I then revised the book multiple times until I was confident in my understanding of the concepts. I reviewed the entire book 4-5 times, and in the final two days before the exam, I completed the book twice. ? The exam covers questions from all six chapters, with the material totaling around 45 pages. Make sure to grasp the concepts from each chapter. For Chapters 4 and 5, I recommend using YouTube tutorials for additional help.
