Washington’s Andy Hill Cancer Research Endowment (CARE) Fund has $27M to invest in cancer research projects. The current grant round supports companies, research institutions, and other eligible organizations in developing cancer-related tools, devices, technologies, therapeutics, or interventions. Projects can range from proof-of-concept to commercialization. Over the next two years, the CARE Fund will support four grant cycles with RFPs in January and June, and develop co-funding partnerships. Upcoming opportunities include: ? Scientific Discovery Research Grants (January): Breakthrough cancer research ? Implementation & Outcomes Grants (June – now open): Applying scientific discoveries ? Co-Funding Partnerships (Rolling): Innovative, equity-centered research Current Implementation & Outcomes Grant requests range from $250,000 to $1,500,000, with an application deadline of August 13, 2024. Eligible applicants include Washington state companies, higher education and research institutions, local health jurisdictions, Tribal governments, nonprofit institutions, and Urban Indian Organizations.
