?? Adoptions #100 and 101! You won’t want to miss this heartwarming story! Janet, Jasper, and Heather! ??Janet's journey is one of incredible resilience. Rescued by Team Kitten, she was found with a dead tail, which had to be amputated. Thanks to their care, Janet made it through surgery & blossomed into a sweet, snuggly cat, proving just how precious every kitten is, no matter their past. ??Jasper, part of the "Wichita group," was abandoned with his siblings, cared for by a neighbor, and rescued thanks to Friends of Felines and Team Kitten. He was given a second chance at Topeka Cat Cafe. When jasper started his journey with us, he was very shy, and confused by all the changes in his life. Thanks to Heather and our other guests, Jasper's confidence and love for people blossomed again! ??What makes Topeka Cat Cafe unique is how deeply our visitors connect with the cats. Janet and Jasper's adopter shared this: "I visited back in August and spent time in both the kitten & adult rooms & walked away so impressed by the set up, the staff & the whole experience. It was the best cat cafe I’d been to so far (out of four I’ve visited). But my review is now from the last couple of weeks of visits. Last month, I made the very difficult decision to say goodbye to a beloved cat of more than 16 years as she entered a sudden rapid decline in her health after two years of caregiving for multiple serious health issues. A couple of friends encouraged me to get a one month unlimited subscription to the cat cafe & I did a week after her passing. It was the best decision I could have made as I deeply grieved & started moving forward. Visiting the several times a week in the evenings since has helped me see I can love another cat again soon (sooner than I expected), there’s nothing like kitten therapy on an especially hard day (being covered in kittens can shut everything else out for a little bit), and helping a very shy cat come out of his shell is incredible to be a part of. Also, the staff at the Topeka cat cafe are amazing. This place is more than just seeing cats that are adoptable and playing with cute cats. Your visits help all the cats get ready for their new homes, and the benefits the cats give to visitors can’t have a price tag put on them." Heather spent many evenings with us helping Jasper build trust and confidence, and getting to know Janet. Now, we’re overjoyed to see them go home with her.
