FPC has secured a ￡40m facility from Clydesdale Bank for its rapidly growing?Electric Land?investment?portfolio of UK freehold grid-connected land. The 1.1GW, 30+?site, 650 acre portfolio comprises projects developed by?Electric Land?combined with similar investments bought in the market, with total ground rent income of c￡5m. Its latest acquisitions include Quinbrook’s 350MW/700MWh Uskmouth battery project, 2 sites for 72MW/144MWH of battery projects developed in-house and leased to Pulse Clean Energy (an IMCO company)?and?the 31MW Brenig wind farm operated under a?base rent and?revenue share lease by CGN, part owner of Hinckley Point. ? Electric Land?is the UK’s largest specialist investor in land for renewable generation, storage and supporting infrastructure. The Group’s UK development pipeline totals over?1.8GW?across 26 mostly?land-banked and optioned sites, all with grid?secured?and many with planning. I'm delighted to have led the Allens team advising Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP) on the establishment of GIP Australia Fund II, a $4 billion fund targeting investment opportunities in Australia and New Zealand in five industry sectors: energy (including power, renewables, transmission and distribution), transportation, water/waste, digital infrastructure and industrial infrastructure.

Today we announced our results for FY24, reporting Underlying Profit after tax of $812 million.? ? Several factors contributed to this result, including significantly improved performance from our operations sites - underpinned by an Equivalent Availability Factor of 85.8% (a 9-percentage point improvement on FY23) and flexibility improvements following investment in upgrades. Strong growth across energy and telecommunications services also contributed to this strong result.?? ? Pleasingly, our improved operating cash flow - due to higher earnings - has driven lower debt, providing greater capacity to continue investing in the transformation of our energy portfolio and supporting our customers.? ? We also announced the acquisition of two Australian businesses that includes 6.1 GW of grid-scale BESS projects; 1.8 GW of solar projects and a 250 MW onshore wind project.? ? We believe this presents strong optionality for AGL, focusing on firming capacity which will be required to firm new renewable generation as thermal baseload generation exits the NEM.? ? Capital for project development is perhaps the biggest gap in the climate finance stack. We love to see what Gridwealth and West Town Bank & Trust are doing here, because it not only accelerates pipelines of projects towards term financing and completion, but the joint venture structure can help align long-term interests for developers as they build out their portfolios. Exciting times ahead

Foresight Solar held its Annual General Meeting today and the board was pleased that a significant majority of shareholders supported their recommendations. The directors acknowledged, however, that 16.1% of the fund’s total issued share capital—24.5% of the valid votes at the AGM—were cast in favour of Resolution 16. The Board and its advisors maintain an active engagement programme and have regularly consulted with shareholders to better understand their views. Investors expressed a range of preferences to address the headwinds affecting the alternatives sector. ? The challenging macroeconomic landscape has also impacted FSFL, and the directors share the frustration with the share price trading at a significant discount to net asset value. Several initiatives are already underway to address the issue, including paying down debt and returning capital via the sector's largest buyback programme relative to NAV. ? Alex Ohlsson, chair of Foresight Solar, said: "The board recognises shareholders' concerns and will continue to engage with all shareholders, particularly those that voted for discontinuation.
