What on earth has the education recruitment sector come to, for some? My staff have interviewed people this week who are adamant they're qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistants after completing an online one/ two-day course. Further investigation shows that agencies are informing these people that they're fully qualified, and yes, you know who you are. Think about the children. Would you be happy a child close to you was supported by someone who spent a few hours online ticking boxes? It's fraud. Forbid the schools being informed that a qualified Teaching Assistant is coming in. Here's an example of a two-day course Level 3 Teaching Assistant Certificate...

You asked, we answered! Q: "Do you need a set number of logged hours (work experience) before taking the ARE?" A: No; you do not need to complete a specific number of AXP hours before you start taking the ARE. In fact, many candidates study for and take the ARE while completing their AXP hours. However, each state has its own licensure requirements, so it's essential to check with your state's licensing board to see if they have any additional prerequisites. Fun Fact: Continuing education courses can count for up to half of the required 3,740 AXP hours!

Started the day, as part of the new staff induction programme, delivering a session on ‘How to be exam focused in your teaching’ to our new staff. Teachers focused on honing strategies to to help studenrs excel in examinations.
