?? Celebrating a Major Milestone in Clean Energy Collaboration! ?? Representatives from ten states—Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont—have come together to coordinate transmission grid expansion efforts with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). On July 9, 2024, these states signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to formalize their collaboration, accelerating the siting and permitting of regional and interregional transmission facilities, including both onshore and offshore options. This partnership is essential for the Eastern Seaboard to meet clean energy goals cost-effectively. The MOU highlights: ? Shared transmission priorities for substantial benefits. ? Federal support for offshore wind and clean energy objectives. ? Common technical standards to reduce costs and ensure compatibility. This is a interesting article with some good points. Regardless of the vessel used to intervene in shallower water the use of USI's STASIS non-water based subsea preservation fluids from the onset will prevent marine fouling, calcareous deposits and corrosion in critical areas. This can save a lot of time and expense during interventions all the way to P&A .

Pacific Gas and Electric Company coworkers responded in droves to support our neighbors to the south. You’ve likely seen our helicopters dropping water on wildfires, and may have read about our line workers and Safety and Infrastructure Protection Teams supporting electric restoration. But you may not be aware that SoCalGas shut in gas for safety to tens of thousands of customers. One of our very own Gas Service Representatives (GSRs) from the North Coast recently returned from his deployment to the southern part of our state to restore gas service to customers in Los Angeles. Brad Williams leads the team at Six Nations Natural Gas, keeping 190 kilometers of pipeline running smoothly. BUT: Until recently, much of the infrastructure relied on paper maps and hand-drawn sketches. Switching to Geolantis.360 has offered nearly instant benefits.
