???? Tomorrow is World Environment Day! ????
We’ve done our research into this year’s theme: soil restoration. As avid farmers who care about the soil in which you grow your crops, protecting it is important!
Soil is not just the land we walk on every day. It's a vibrant ecosystem, home to countless living species. And here's a staggering fact: an estimated total of 95% of our food is grown directly or indirectly from the soil.
The World Environment Day Organisation has come up with some tips on how people can help contribute to soil restoration:
-?????????Governments should support organic farming that uses little or no synthetic chemicals.
-?????????Educational facilities could build youth's knowledge, skills and capacity to restore the land.
-?????????In your own home, you could use your kitchen waste as compost in gardens or balconies. You could even contribute to composting schemes.
-?????????Cities could bring back nature into their location by adding more green infrastructure.
There are so many more ways to help our environment in the long term. A.R. Richards Ltd encourages environmentally friendly practices across all its sectors, including waste, agriculture, and construction. So, let’s work together for the betterment for our future and the generations to come!
