Strategic Command (STRATCOM), “The limited production rate of the B-21 is the only thing that I wish we could do a little quicker… The fact that that is an incredible sixth-generation platform, all indications are that the weapons system is moving along at a great pace as far as delivery. The ability for production and the number of production, as a warfighter, obviously I would love more.” Various think tanks, including the Mitchell Institute for Aerospace Studies, and former heads of Global Strike Command have called for as many as 150-225 B-21s to maintain the pace of operations necessary to successfully conduct a war with a near-peer adversary like China. https://lnkd.in/ecCJs7Xu

With D-Day 80 and Armed Forces Day both in June, it's topical to consider how even the simplest military decision making and planning process can add considerable value when applied through a business lens.

Gen Fenton continues to be a measured and insightful message to our legislative and executive branch on the impact of SOF in highly contested environments. Each dollar spent with in the SOF space prepares, protects, and defeats our adversaries while creating stability and safety for our Allies, partners, and those being oppressed. Each dollar spent in SOF is also better spent then large weapon systems or capabilities that do not have actual scoped requirements or an end user in mind. I wonder if you can think of a couple of DoD systems, platforms, or programs that have never lived up to the hype, failed to deliver, were not needed, or not keeping up with innovation. What program would you cut or trim?

A good recognition of the cost/readiness benefit of the Air Guard and AF Reserve.

#ICYMI Rear Adm. Doug Verissimo, Commander, Naval Air Force Atlantic participated in a panel discussion, April 9, at the 2024 Sea-Air-Space Convention to discuss modernizing our efforts to improve and increase warfighter readiness. He addressed the capability of the carrier strike group and the ability to adapt for worldwide operations. ? “I am unabashedly a huge fan of the carrier strike group and the capability they bring. My view in generating readiness, and how we generate readiness across the carrier strike group fleet, is that it’s an all-hands, all-team effort. You can really see how that integrated certified force, that gets put together by the fleet commanders, evaluated by the carrier strike groups on either coast for the emerging threat, is developed, expanded, understood, and fed back to those folks who are going out [to deploy] to be the most capable," said Rear Adm.
