We are inviting applications for consultancy services to train renewable energy entities in Uganda on GESI. This initiative is part of the Strengthening the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem for the Clean Cooking Sector (#SEE-Clean Cooking) program, aimed at enhancing gender sensitivity and inclusivity in clean cooking and biogas enterprises. Excited to share that we have been representing PLOCAN at the EuroScience Open Forum (ESOF2024) in Katowice, Poland, an international science event. Here we are presenting the SECURE project and participated in a plenary session titled "A New European Framework for Research Careers." Despite the rapid growth of renewable energy, disparities in access, climate risks, and financial resources hinder progress, especially in underserved regions. By focusing on a systemic transformation and building region-specific strategies, we can unlock the full potential of solar energy while driving positive social impacts such as job creation, gender equality, and youth engagement. Hindustan Times published an article that Karan Mangotra and I wrote on tailoring action for the unique realities of different regions. The International Solar Alliance’s analysis (https://lnkd.in/gXgRUnph) highlights the critical importance of developing differentiated roadmaps for high-income countries, emerging economies, low-income countries, and Small Island Developing States (SIDS).
