The MyVirtualSurgery project started 2025 with two three-hour webinars in Minnesota. The 16 scholars performed a deconstructed Bentall procedure (non-valve sparing aortic root replacement) on a low-fidelity simulator (The Devotini). At each step and for each scholar, the progress was assessed. The simulation was finalized with an evaluation under the valve and of the coronary re-implant (from the inside). The focus of the scholars was exemplary. The scholars received their simulators at the end of the session, allowing them to repeat the process (guided again) on the MyVirtualSurgery platform (Meplis designed). This was possible with the support of J&J Medtech, represented by Emily Egan, Kerryl Knicos, and Stacey Buescher.

We're proud to announce that we have won a highly competitive €2.5-million EIC Transition grant for our neural prosthesis project, SIGHTED, to develop and commercialise our brain implant for vision restoration. We are building on results from our preceding NeuraViPeR project, funded by Horizon 2020 FET-Open. With this generous support, we will accelerate progress toward our mission of enabling blind individuals to see again, together with our partner, the Institut de la Vision (Sorbonne University).?
