Get ready for National Public Lands Day (NPLD) on September 28, when an estimated 45,000 volunteers will unite across the country for the largest single-day event dedicated to America’s public lands. This year’s theme, "Together for Tomorrow," highlights our shared commitment to caring for and celebrating these essential spaces. Event Highlights: -Hungry Mother State Park, VA: ?“Trailgate” promises a nature-focused twist on the classic tailgate, featuring interactive stations on birds, plants, and more, along with hands-on activities and hikes for all ages. -Yosemite National Park, CA: Participate in the renowned Facelift clean-up, attracting volunteers from around the world. -Vermilion Cliffs National Monument, AZ: Witness the release of California condors in a unique conservation event. -El Yunque National Forest, PR: Engage in trail maintenance and educational activities in the only tropical rainforest in the US National Forest System. -Washington Youth Garden at the US National Arboretum: This year’s NPLD Signature Event combines veteran volunteer service with a family-friendly celebration featuring treats and giveaways. For over 30 years, NEEF has partnered with state, local, and federal agencies, including the USDA Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, US Army Corps of Engineers, United States Department of Defense, National Park Service, and Tennessee State Parks, to create a truly impactful National Public Lands Day.
