We all need to be more observant

It is crucial to be vigilant when using Linx, credit, and debit cards at gas stations and ATMs. This practice should always be followed.

Always check

There are several steps you can take to safeguard yourself from ATM skimming: ???Be observant: Inspect the ATM for anything suspicious before inserting your card. Look for loose or bulky card readers, strange overlays on the keypad, or tiny cameras hidden near the machine. ????Shield your PIN: When entering your PIN, use your hand to cover the keypad, creating a barrier against any hidden cameras. ??Choose secure ATMs: Opt for ATMs located inside well-lit areas with security cameras, preferably branches of your own bank. ??Be alert: Stay aware of your surroundings and avoid using ATMs in isolated locations, especially at night. ??Monitor accounts regularly: Keep an eye on your bank statements and transaction history for any unauthorized activity. Report suspicious transactions immediately. ??Consider chip cards: If possible, use chip-enabled cards as they offer better protection against skimming since they store data in an embedded chip.
