??For women in the built environment, several programs and initiatives aim to increase female participation and empowerment. The South African Women in Construction (SAWIC) offers support, training, and opportunities specifically for women in the construction industry. Additionally, the Built Environment Professions (BEP) bursary scheme encourages women to pursue careers in architecture, engineering, and related fields by providing financial assistance and educational resources. These programs help to address gender disparities and foster a more inclusive and diverse workforce in the built environment sector.
Other initiatives include mentorship programs, networking events, and partnerships with industry stakeholders to create pathways for women to enter and succeed in traditionally male-dominated professions. These efforts not only enhance skills and knowledge but also promote leadership and entrepreneurial opportunities for women in the built environment. ?????????
