Devenir's annual report is out, and the results for HSAs are up! With HSA assets hitting a record high in 2023, this significant jump shows the growing popularity of HSAs. Other highlights of the report include: ? HSA assets rose to $123.3 billion last year (up 19%) ? HSA funds are held in over 37 million accounts (up 5%) ? Key takeaways from our #EthnicityPayGap session at #NHSP24 included: ??high quality data that provides depth and is disaggregated beyond standard groupings for protected characteristics and workforce skill mix. ??communicate the why including the structural causes, the how and what. Close that feedback loop with all staff and not just those who are working on tackling the disparity. ??take a multipronged approach to addressing the disparity through inclusive recruitment, inclusive career progression and talent management and an OD approach to tackling racial disparity. ??your work on the EPG needs to be part of wider work on race equity to have true impact. ??personal and collective board leadership and accountability is crucial. Change cannot and will not happen without this. ??demonstrate active white allyship. ??Finally…whilst EPG reporting may not yet be legally mandated, there is existing legislation that already requires you to ensure your processes do not discriminate on the basis of protected characteristics. Looking at the EQ-HWB and EQ-HWB-S ?? ?? The EQ-HWB (EQ Health and Wellbeing instrument) is a 25-item instrument ?? The EQ-HWB-S is a 9-item classifier to generate preference weights The measures assess quality of life related to health, informal care, and social care associated most frequently with the elderly, those with chronic conditions, and informal carers. ?? The EQ-HWB Working Group was established in March 2023 to prioritise research for both instruments. ?? Ongoing research is collecting psychometric evidence to refine the two instruments. ????
