In Christian theology, the Bible is a record of the things that God has done in history, both with Israel, the Old Testament, and with the Church, the New Testament. But the greatest revelation in Christian theology is not a book. It's a person, Jesus. In Islamic theology, the greatest revelation is a book, the Qur'an. For Muslims, the Qur'an is the final revelation that God has given to the world, sent down from heaven through the Angel Gabriel to the Prophet Muhammad. His role was simply to proclaim the book. But the Qur'an also has a take on the Bible. It does not ignore the Bible or Judaism or Christianity. It makes claims. It claims that Moses was a Muslim prophet, Jesus was a Muslim prophet, and they both predicted the coming of Muhammad. So the Bible and the Qur'an are related, and in what follows we will see the amazing story of just how connected they truly are.
