Our week 4 activity for our Building Your Own Youth Support System (B.O.Y.S.S) program focused on 'What's Your Name?' and 'What are the Expectations of your name from your community?' Powerful discussions were had, and these young men are well aware of the expectations associated with their names. We discussed the pressures of others' expectations compared to their own and how to manage them. However, alongside treating them well, it is crucial to provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to nurture their growth within the organization.
