The Fear of Technical Failures During Performances—and How to Keep the Show Going When it comes to live entertainment, nothing strikes fear into an event professional’s heart more than a technical failure during a performance. A mic cutting out mid-song, a spotlight malfunction, or an instrument not connecting properly can completely disrupt the energy and experience. Imagine the performer hitting their peak note, and the sound drops out. The audience feels it, the performer feels it—it’s an event planner’s worst nightmare. No matter how well-rehearsed the talent is, technology can steal the show if not handled properly. The Solution: Success starts with thorough tech rehearsals.
