Our Childhood Cancer Data Initiative (CCDI) has reached a new milestone in pediatric brain cancer data sharing! Researchers can now access data from nearly 3,000 young people with brain tumors and other types of cancer through the CCDI Data Ecosystem. Insights from this resource could help drive progress against childhood cancer. https://go.nih.gov/PdAF6PN #Data4ChildhoodCancer
This is an incredible milestone for childhood cancer research ? At The Cancer Conversation, we're thrilled to see such progress in data sharing for pediatric brain cancer ?? Access to comprehensive data opens up invaluable opportunities for breakthroughs and better outcomes. We're hopeful that insights from the CCDI Data Ecosystem will accelerate advancements and support young patients and their families. #Data4ChildhoodCancer #ResearchProgress
While this is certainly great news, there needs to be the same access to data for Adolescents and Young Adults (AYAs). It is critical that this data be tracked and shared if we really want to give the 90,000 AYAs diagnosed with cancer every year a better fighting chance. #JabsforLife #AYAware #AYAcancer #AYAcancerawareness #youngadultcancer #cancer
Amazing how survival rates in pediatric cancer have improved over the years thanks to research, let's keep up the good work and increase our support to cancer research, it saves lives!
Does the study talk about how five year survival numbers increased during this time because increased chemotherapy doses rendered most survivors impaired?
Insightful!????
National Cancer Institute (NCI) this is incredible. Gives us hope for DIPGs which has remained uniformly fatal since the 1960s with no significant changes in the standard of care.
