We have a new report out this week looking at urban districts: What do district leaders need to continue building back post-covid? Our newest report dives into challenges facing district leadership teams, how they've faced them, and what they need to do next to keep momentum—because as one leader said, their districts are “maxed out.” Our team interviewed leaders from @BaltCitySchools & @ChiPubSchools to learn how they’re confronting enrollment declines, limited central office capacity, tough teacher labor markets, changing school boards, shifting local interests, and uncertain state-level financial support. The short answer: they need more allies and new partnerships—within school boards, communities, unions, and state-level governments.
