Ever thought your go-to social media strategies were unbeatable—only to realize your client’s instincts were spot-on? This week, I learned the value of flexibility and helped raise money during Giving Tuesday for a non-profit.? When I started working on this campaign, I planned to rely on my expertise in social media algorithms and trending strategies. But the client suggested a different approach that was new to me.?I’m so glad I trusted their insight. By the end of the campaign, we raised an incredible $47,000!? The key? Creating over 50 unique pieces of content—videos, heartfelt donor stories, behind-the-scenes moments, and call-to-action posts—all tailored to their audience. It wasn’t about following algorithm rules but understanding the community on a deeper level.? This experience taught me that sometimes a client’s experience with their audience is more valuable than any trend data.
