Ayurveda, the world's oldest living system of medicine, views meditation as a vital practice for maintaining overall health and well-being. According to Ayurveda, meditation helps to balance the mind, body, and spirit by calming the nervous system, reducing stress, and promoting inner peace. Ayurveda emphasizes the connection between the mind and body, recognizing that imbalances in one can affect the other. Regular meditation is believed to help restore this balance by quieting the mind and allowing for greater self-awareness. It is seen as a way to cultivate a deeper understanding of oneself and one's place in the universe. In Ayurveda, meditation is often recommended as part of a holistic approach to health that includes proper diet, lifestyle, and daily routines. Different meditation techniques may be prescribed based on an individual's unique constitution, or dosha, which is determined by their underlying physical and mental characteristics. Overall, Ayurveda considers meditation to be a powerful tool for promoting mental clarity, emotional stability, and spiritual growth, all of which are essential for achieving optimal health and vitality. #AyurvedaMeditation #MindBodyBalance #HolisticHealth #InnerPeace #SelfAwareness #DoshaBalance #StressRelief #SpiritualGrowth #MentalClarity #WellnessJourney

UNIVERSE ?? IS THE BEST TEACHER- Ayurveda quotes. We learn from nature when we imbibe nature into us. Something which I could read through and resonates to our professional journey as to who is who ? The teacher takes responsibility for your growth, but a Guru makes you responsible for your growth. A teacher gives the things a student doesn’t have and require, but a Guru takes away the things you have and you don’t require. A teacher requires obedience and discipline from the pupil, but a Guru requires trust and humility from the pupil. The teacher is a guide on the path, but a Guru is a pointer on the way. A teacher sends you on the road to success, but a Guru sends you on the road to freedom. A teacher explains the world and its nature to you, a Guru explains yourself and your nature to you. A teacher gives you knowledge ??and boosts your ego,but a Guru takes away your knowledge and punctures your ego. A teacher sharpens your mind, but a Guru opens your mind.?? A teacher instructs you on how to solve problems, but the Guru shows you how to resolve issues. A teacher is a systematic thinker, but a Guru is a lateral thinker. ?? Thanks to the originator ! #Teachersday #Universe #Learningforlife

What Does Dhanteras Really Mean for Us Today? ?? Dhanteras usually brings up images of people rushing to buy gold, silver, or some new gadget. It’s almost become a routine—every year, the same scramble for material wealth. But when I think about Dhanteras, my mind goes somewhere else entirely. This day is actually about honoring Bhagwan Dhanvantari, the god of health and Ayurveda. It’s a reminder that our true wealth isn’t in the things we buy but in the health we nurture and the balance we create in our lives. Without that foundation, what’s the point of all the shiny stuff? ???? Starting today, I’m launching Yogic Anjali, a space to explore how we can live with more intention and well-being. It’s not about perfection or following every yogic rule, but about finding balance in practical ways, even in the middle of life’s chaos. (Link in comments) ?? So, as Dhanteras rolls around, I’m not just thinking about the gold or gadgets. I’m thinking about how we can invest in our well-being—whether it’s through a mindful practice, a deep breath, or simply slowing down for a moment. ?? What does Dhanteras mean to you this year? Maybe it’s a good time to pause and reflect. ?? Wishing you all health and balance this Dhanteras. ? #Dhanteras2024 #WritingChallenge #28DaysOfGrowth #YogicAnjali

We were taught one phrase from our childhood days that Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy & wise. Just as our bodies have their own natural rhythms, so do the hours of the day. In Ayurveda, we see the day as divided into two 12-hour cycles that each contain three four-hour cycles dominated by a specific dosha: Vata: 2-6 a.m./p.m. Kapha: 6-10 a.m./p.m. Pitta: 10-2 a.m./p.m. ????????????????? ????????????? ?????? | ??????????????????? ???? ???? ??:??? || 17 But those who are temperate in eating and recreation, balanced in work, and regulated in sleep, can mitigate all sorrows by practicing Yog. ????????????? ????????? ? ?????????????: | ? ???? ???????????? ??????? ??? ??????? || 16|| BG 6.16: O Arjun, those who eat too much or too little, sleep too much or too little, cannot attain success in Yog. Shri Krishna has clearly emphasised on good sleep and rest and one takes minimum 6-8 hours of sleep. Before sleeping one must leave their mobile phone 2 hours prior to sleeping. Our health and physical well being lies in our hands and we must take proper care of it. Today wealth is your health. No matter if you are a millionaire but if you don't have good health you won't be able to enjoy the wealth. #Sanatandharma #Yoga #Health #Bhagwadgita #Propersleeping #Mind #Soul #Rest

In this depiction, a person engaged in yoga practice is enveloped by the profound wisdom of Ayurveda, intertwined with celestial symbolism represented by the lunar phases. As the practitioner delves into yoga, they align with the principles of Ayurveda, fostering holistic well-being and inner harmony. The Gunas: Reflecting Ayurvedic principles, the Gunas—Sattva (purity), Rajas (activity), and Tamas (inertia)—guide the balance of mind and body, shaping individual constitution and health. The Koshas: Aligned with Ayurveda's understanding of holistic health, the koshas symbolize the layers of existence—physical, energetic, mental, and beyond—each influencing our overall wellness. The Chakras: Vital energy centers corresponding to Ayurvedic doshas, the chakras harmonize with the body's elemental balance, supporting vitality and equilibrium. The Nadis: Ayurveda recognizes nadis as pathways for prana (life force), essential for maintaining optimal health and vitality. The Vayus: Ayurvedic vayus, or winds, correspond to the doshas (Vata, Pitta, Kapha), influencing physiological functions and well-being. Beneath the practitioner, the lunar phases emerge, symbolizing the cyclical nature of life and health. The waxing and waning moon stages mirror the Ayurvedic concept of rhythm and balance within the body. Just as the moon cycles affect nature's rhythms, Ayurveda teaches how our internal constitution and health are influenced by cosmic forces. By practicing yoga aligned with Ayurvedic principles, individuals can attain balance, wellness, and a deep connection with the natural world, embracing the transformative power of ancient wisdom for modern well-being. #YogaWisdom #AyurvedaBalance #CelestialHarmony #HolisticWellness #MindBodyAlignment #LunarPhases #WellBeingJourney #CancareInc #Cancare #Canada
