At Momentum - The Business Growth Agency, I'll admit, our services sometimes need some explaining behind them. Our "elevator pitch" can be a challenge, because we do so many different things for our clients. The cool thing is that, for our clients, we just keep on getting things done for them... Intros, referrals, strategy, PR placements, social media growth, and our bread-and-butter... Speaking roles. Yesterday, our client, Damon Piatek with Piatek Customs & Logistics LLC, spoke to about 120 deans, admin and faculty from colleges and universities around the mid-Atlantic at the annual MAACBA conference, which was an awesome opportunity for him. Damon called me immediately afterwards and told me that at the end of the presentation, he had a line of people waiting to talk to him. It was a wonderful audience for him - educators who can use his real-world experience in #supplychain and trade compliance. Educators who are connected not only with companies that advise their programs, but with the next generation of logistics and supply chain leaders. This is what we do. We get speaking roles in ????????????????, ????????-?????????????? ?????????? for our clients. Why? As far as business development goes, to us there is nothing that beats having the opportunity to stand in front of a good audience and show your expertise. Nothing. 1. The conference/event has already gathered ???????????????? people together, which now become part of your network simply for having participated in your talk 2. You get to position yourself as the expert by offering them insights, tools and solutions that they can use, creating a relationship 3. You use an hour of your business development time to speak directly with 25, 50, 100 or more people - who CHOSE TO BE THERE listening to you "???? ??????'?? ??????-????-??-??????????' ????????.?????'???? ???????? ????????????????????????????" - Governor Pappy O’Daniel, ?? ??????????????, ?????????? ?????? ????????? (one of the greatest movies ever made, by the way) For these reasons, a lot of what we do for our clients is preparing, creating, soliciting (and successfully getting) speaking roles. Damon was Momentum's second client when we started more than 10 years ago. He has had a steady flow of speaking opportunities over the past 10 years, and we're incredibly proud of that. Over the years, we've worked with him to cultivate his presentations so they're not only impactful when delivered, but also saleable to the conferences, shows and events where he wants to speak (it's important to remember that those two things are not always aligned). Me? I'm already working on stocking Damon's speaking calendar for 2025 - applied for two huge ones just last week, in fact. We do this for all of our clients. We can do it for you. Excellent session summaries. Loved the expressions. I traveled through your life during read.Sharmila Govande Thank you. Somewhere I learned - Learn to be happy for nothing! Soak in like a sponge when in the Learning Space! No questions no judgements just Soak In. Easier said than practice! I could see and sense the essence of Letting go and remaining available to Emergence has a big role to play in the way one moves into Learning spaces and therefore Happiness within! My key Realization during the conference is - ( Not) Being aware about - How do I present myself in the Learning Space! Who am I to you( Them, others)! Diving in the pool of few known yet largely unknown faces of 300 plus capacity filled with joy and zest, dawning hat of eternal curiosity. I entered in one of the session by a very young Facilitator, and something within me was restless! Making peace with myself I saw myself through the session. I asked myself, what was the restless feeling about! Kind of self Debrief! Thoughts emerged - The session Facilitator should have...... The flow should have been..... The way it was done could have been.... Exactly here I stopped and realized with a big sigh - It wasn't my session! I wasn't there to evaluate. I lost an opportunity to Let Go of me and my self and surrender to what's happening in here and now! How do I present myself in the Learning Space! Who am I to you( Them,others)! ( Just another human being, a passerby, some person, unknown somebody!) My need for "Them understanding me for who and what I am", is one of the biggest obstacle preventing me from being open to whatever is emerging and happening around me in here and now! I guess, I am still growing up to find a right way to be fully present in the Learning Spaces! ?????? #AEE conference.
