Congratulations to NAE members James Fujimoto, Kerrie Holley, David Huang, Pamela Marrone, and Eric Swanson for being named 2025 National Inventors Hall of Fame Inductees! Fujimoto, Huang, and Swanson are recognized for inventing Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), “a method for imaging layers of body tissue in unprecedented detail”. They also received the NAE’s 2017 Fritz J. and Dolores H. Russ Prize for inventing OCT.
