This dashboard (my first) is part of a "gradual" move to the Dark Side, that of Power BI, and a monumental shift from Tableau (within my working environment), but not from other personal or freelance projects. You never do forget your first love! ?? This particular dashboard was inspired from an excellent workshop by Injae Park, where the data was generated via AI, to help speed up the development process for a mock proof of concept design. I learnt a great deal during the build stage - solid evidence that the best way of learning a new platform is through hands on experience. ?? My Power BI Journey: From Novice to Innovator ?? Last year, I embarked on my Power BI journey, and it has been an incredible ride of learning and growth. Balancing my job with personal projects, I’ve been sharpening my skills with this powerful tool. One of my biggest inspirations has been the work of Injae Park. When he launched the Power BI Park community course, I eagerly enrolled. In just two days, I learned innovative ways to elevate the UI/UX experience of my reports. This course has truly transformed how I approach dashboard design. ?? Exciting News: I’m thrilled to share a new dashboard I’ve created, inspired by the course. It demonstrates a unique use case (video embedded below), and I’d love your thoughts! ?? Challenge for You: How long do you think it took me to create this dashboard from scratch—curating datasets, crafting DAX formulas, and designing visuals? The answer: Less than 90 minutes! This was made possible by: - Leveraging AI for dataset simulation and bulk DAX creation. - Integrating external tools for greater efficiency. - Implementing dynamic axes and field parameters for flexible dashboards. ?? Copilot for Power BI Does anyone know if Power BI will be in scope for Copilot? I can see a lot of potential using Copilot with writing analytical expressions or discovering insights across a dataset. My understanding is that an admin needs to enable this feature on the MS Fabric tenant so that workspaces with premium capacity utilize Copilot. https://lnkd.in/d6rHzEQw
