Natcast CEO Deirdre Hanford was recently a panelist at the 2024 WISH (Women in Semiconductor Hardware) Conference hosted by the Global Semiconductor Alliance. She was joined with other female #semiconductor trailblazers and shared her career trajectory and insights with an audience of professionals across industry and academia. Fantastic job, panelists, speakers, attendees and GSA WLI! Sylvia Acevedo, Alexis Black Bjorlin, Elif Balkas, Rani Borkar, GSA Women's Leadership Initiative

Latinas stand out as the least represented group at the highest levels of corporate America: Only 1 percent of C-suite executives are Latina—let that sink in. ? ? With today being the last day of #HispanicHeritageMonth, we're bringing attention to the fact that Latinas face the steepest climb up the corporate ladder—or the biggest drop in representation from entry-level to the C-suite. If this trend continues, Latinas will not be able to catch up to other groups of women—let alone men—in leadership roles and will remain the most underrepresented group at the highest levels of corporate America.? ? If you haven't read the latest Lean In study on Latina representation in Corporate C-Suites, I invite you to do so. It has a lot of data that you can use to promote more diversity, flexibility and inclusion in your own companies. Some of the findings that resonated with me were: * "Latinas remain deeply motivated to ascend the corporate ranks: they are more interested in being promoted to the next level and in becoming senior leaders than white women and women overall" (p13). * "In the face of obstacles, Latinas remain highly committed to work and family" (p.21). #vamospormas

As a black woman leader in tech, I've navigated challenges, broken barriers, and celebrated milestones. The challenges we face are real. But so is our strength, resilience, and capacity to innovate. It's crucial that we share our stories, not just to highlight the barriers we've overcome but to pave a smoother path for those who follow. If you're a fellow engineer and aspire to lead, remember this: - Your perspective is invaluable - Your potential is limitless - Your presence is necessary Let's pave the way for more women to lead, innovate, and inspire in tech. #leadership #tech

I am profoundly proud of the Global Semiconductor Alliance GSA Women's Leadership Initiative recently launched #Allyship Program. This program acknowledges the vital role men play in supporting women's growth and development within the semiconductor industry. ? In an industry where innovation drives success and we are constantly talking about the talent shortage we must put in an effort to better support female innovators and pave a path for their leadership. The Allyship Program is designed to highlight and celebrate the male leaders who actively advocate for women --while they are not in the room. ? This initiative isn’t just about recognizing past efforts—it's about encouraging ongoing support and collaboration. Together, we can ensure we have an industry that can grow to $1 trillion in the next several years. For the women out there, if you have an ally that has been critical in your career pass along their information so we can include them in our visibility program. ? ? Apart from celebrating our culture during the #HispanicHeritageMonth it’s crucial to acknowledge the hard realities and being intentional about changing the statu-quo towards more diverse and inclusive workplaces. And if you need other reasons to believe in this, aka as $$$, organizations where everyone can thrive are more innovative and profitable.

MAD//FEST - I have a question and/or suggestion? ?? Would you consider a more “junior” host, interviewer or representative next year? The reason I ask: 1. Today on the Female Leaders' Club stage there was a great talk about Changing Mindsets: how diversity of thinking and curiosity drive positive change and creativity. After Ellie Edwards-Scott shared a statistic about the high percentage of women not reaching a Leadership Role, a question was asked to the panelist’s, about how do they retain ‘mid-level’ women in the industry to a Leadership Role. Like the rest of the talk, they responded fantastically, but I do think there was a conversation missed about inspiring junior women, and showing them how to become a leader. 2. Then I started to reflect on all the talks I attended and noticed that all job roles were represented across all stages, apart from the more ‘junior’ roles… yet the future of the industry, the innovation of tomorrow was discussed, but we didn’t see who they are? And what the ‘future’ are thinking. What do you think Harry Clark and Ian Houghton? Did I miss this representation? And/or is there a reason behind this? #madfest #future #fortunefavourthebold
