In NARM?, understanding the impact of developmental trauma involves looking at five early developmental themes: Connection, Attunement, Trust, Autonomy, and Love-Sexuality. Each theme plays a crucial role in how we relate to ourselves and others, from establishing a foundational sense of connection to experiencing autonomy without fear. . These themes are more than concepts—they form the foundation of our psychobiological self and our capacity for presence. When the needs of these developmental stages go unmet in early childhood, we end up using adaptive strategies to manage deeply painful and threatening states of disconnection and dysregulation. Through NARM, we work to restore these lost capacities for connection, fostering a deeper sense of safety and self-attunement. . Have you explored these themes in your own healing journey? Which theme resonates most with you? ?? . #NARMTrainingInstitute #SelfRegulation #ComplexTraumaHealing #HealingJourney #Connection #Attunement #Trust #Autonomy #LoveAndSexuality #HelpingProfessionals #TraumaInformedCare #ResilientHealing

Emotional Breakdown and Generational Trauma: (Neuroplasticity) When addressing this topic, I shift from sensitivity to cultivating creative abilities. How? It's simple! Reframing the simple conversation and scenarios: Replace self-doubting questions: - What am I? - Am I perfect? - What's my skill? - Am I eligible? With empowering ones: - What do I love to explore? - What can I effectively communicate? By prioritizing growth pedagogy, we cultivate holistic development. In kids' education, this means providing essential resources to nurture well-rounded individuals, emphasizing character over superficial charm. Hope this is simple #letsconnect #letsexplore #wannagrow #emotionaltrauma #mentalhealthawareness #personalitydevelopment #selfcare #growthmindset #mindfulpractice #neuroplasticity #Brainscience

Learning to Love Myself Beyond Society’s Expectations. Hey beautiful souls, I’ve been on a journey of self-discovery, healing, and empowerment, and it’s finally led me here—to share it with you. In my latest blog post, I open up about my recent ADHD diagnosis at 34 and how it’s changed the way I see myself and the world around me. For so long, I tried to fit into boxes that didn’t make sense for my brain, and it left me feeling “less than.” But this realization was actually my FREEDOM. This journey hasn’t been easy—I’ve faced struggles with self-worth, body image, and the weight of society’s unrealistic expectations. But with time, healing, and some radical self-love, I’ve learned that there is no “perfect” or “right” way to exist. Like nature, we are all beautifully unique, and it’s our differences that make us whole. My blog dives deep into how I learned to embrace my quirks, accept my shadows, and find my path, even when it seemed impossible. I hope it inspires YOU to embrace every part of yourself and to know that you are enough just as you are. Ready to read? Head to my blog to join me on this journey to self-acceptance and rediscovering what it means to truly live freely. Let’s grow together. **Link in below* ?? https://lnkd.in/gt45enP8 #NewBlogPost #WomensEmpowerment #ADHDAwareness #SelfLoveJourney #EmbraceYourself #ConfidenceCoach #PersonalGrowth #MentalHealthMatters #YouAreEnough #HolisticHealing #MindBodySoul #JourneyToSelf #Neurodivergent #EmpoweredWomen #AuthenticLiving #NatureHealing

A reminder about the 'The 3 R's'. Dr Bruce Perry, a pioneering neuroscientist in the field of trauma, has shown us that to help a vulnerable child to learn, think and reflect, we need to intervene in a simple sequence. REGULATE: First: We must help the child to regulate and calm their fight/flight/freeze responses. RELATE: We must relate and connect with the child through an attuned and sensitive relationship. REASON: We can support the child to reflect, learn, remember, articulate and become self-assured. #thedecider #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness #selfcare #selflove #cognitivebehaviortherapy #cbt #therapy #loveyourself #awareness #lessons #feelings #tips #beyourself #psychology #growth #strength #selfdiscoveryA

As someone who has been exploring childhood trauma and its long-term effects on adult life and health for the past 2 years, I often see how trauma can deeply shape a person, even when it goes unrecognized. Yet, I have also noticed the word “trauma” is being used casually that its true significance risks being lost. Minor frustrations are often labeled as trauma, making those dealing with genuine, life-altering experiences feel even more isolated—wondering if their pain is valid or understood. It is crucial to remind ourselves that trauma is more than just a word. It’s a powerful, often invisible force that often leaves lastings effects on every aspect of life, from emotions to relationships. Misusing the term only makes it harder for those truly affected to feel heard and supported. #WorldTraumaDay marks the need for us to create spaces that encourage healing, where people feel safe to confront and address their trauma. Whether it's through professional support or community initiatives, the goal is to turn trauma into a path of resilience and growth.
We once worked with a student who, on the outside, seemed perfectly fine—often regarded as the quiet, sincere kid. But over time, it became clear that their quietness stemmed from carrying the weight of #trauma—afraid to speak up, unsure of how to heal. Their story, like so many others, reminds us that trauma often remains hidden—unspoken but deeply felt. #WorldTraumaDay is an opportunity to reflect on these invisible wounds and the importance of addressing them. On this day, let’s be mindful of the unseen #struggles those around us might be facing. Together, we can foster #resilience, #compassion, and #understanding. With the right support, trauma can transform into a story of strength and #growth. #psychology #counselling #survivors #mentalhealth
