Yesterday we celebrated the one year work anniversary of one of our team members, Heidi. We were talking about how Oaktree started and I was telling the team about the idea for Oaktree and those early days. No clients. No revenue. In the early days Chris and I did it all. We had the time because we didn’t have a lot of client work yet. But growth required more than just us. To all the Lilly connections on here I know you know this. Your teams are critical to your success. No one does it alone. Everyone contributes. Everyone has a role. You don’t know everything others know and they don’t know everything you know. Together you’re a great team. This is true in families just as much as in business. A mom’s role and a dad’s role are different. Their skillsets are different. But both working together are critical to the success of the family. Growth and improvement requires teamwork professionally and personally. If you want a team that can partner with you to quarterback your financial life choose a partner that best plays that role. Most financial advisors are generalists. We are not. We don’t work with just anyone. We specialize in working with Eli Lilly employees. Two decades fly by in a blink when shared with the right people. Recently, I had the honor of celebrating a 20 year work anniversary with a colleague who had been a cornerstone of our team. It's moments like these that remind us of the immense value in building strong, lasting relationships at work. The bonds we've crafted over these years have weathered challenges and celebrated victories. Here’s what I've learned from two decades alongside incredible people: → Shared purpose is powerful. When everyone rallies around a common goal, it transforms daily tasks into meaningful pursuits. → Trust is the glue. It's the foundation that holds us together through tough times and amplifies our triumphs. → Celebrate every win. Big or small, victories keep us motivated and remind us why we started this journey together. → Empathy elevates. Understanding and supporting each other’s unique strengths fosters a thriving environment. Reflecting on two decades, it’s clear that the people around us make the journey worthwhile. We’ve not only built an outstanding team but a work family. As we look forward to more years ahead, I’m grateful for every lesson learned and every moment shared. Please join us in congratulating Matthew Krause on his 10 year work anniversary! We sat down with Matthew to talk about his tenure at Krause, his accomplishments, and the many lessons learned over the years. Q: What is the key to staying successful in your 10-year tenure? A: "The key has been a combination of adaptability and a deep passion for innovation. Over the past decade, I’ve embraced new trends, challenges, and opportunities, always staying curious and driven to deliver unique and inspiring solutions." Q: What is the most important lesson you have learned in the last 10 years? A: "The most valuable lessons I’ve learned happened when everything was “going wrong.” It is in these moments where we have the choice to give up or use it as fuel for growth. It is the power of collaboration. While individual creativity is important, the most successful projects are born from a team effort, where diverse ideas come together to create something truly remarkable." Q: What accomplishment are you most proud of? A: "It is an interesting thing summing up one’s experiences over the course of 10 years. I’m incredibly proud of our team and leadership’s ability to push creative solutions and not being satisfied with the “status quo.” Over the decade, I was given opportunities to use my creativity nature to lead several in-house advancements to the company. This has not only brought fresh, creative solutions to our internal team, but also experiences to our clients that has had a lasting impact on Krause’s outreach. Each one stands as a testament to the importance of a company that allows you the ability to stay curious about the world around each of us and the community at large. Hard work and passion are at the core of our entire team." Q: With a decade of experience under your belt, do you have any advice to up-and-coming individuals in your field? A: "Be a shark, in the best possible way. Adapt to change, stay curious, seek out your interests, embrace challenges, never stop moving forward, and learn all you can, while you can."

Next week marks my 1-year anniversary serving at Simmons Capital Group and Steward Advisors Group. Here are some of the principles and goodies I've gleaned in this past season: ?? People > Profit. Sustainable business has been a result of relationships, integrity, and culture. ?? Money effects everyone differently, but it does effect us. ?? It is powerful to see someone's stress leave their shoulders and eyes in a moment, simply by bringing clarity their situation. Truth and honesty is POWERFUL. ?? Most people resonate moving away from sufficiency ("Do I have enough?") and towards efficiency ("What CAN I do with the resources I have?"). ?? Many people struggle with the transition from working, steady income, and saving to a work optional lifestyle and drawing income from investments. I would guess this comes from the sufficiency problem (listed above) and limited data set of understanding how things operate. ??? I am BLOWN AWAY how much I love this work and how purpose-driven it is. Ministry and caring for others doesn't stop when you engage the business world. In many ways, my ability to love and serve others has amplified! Many other things to note, but this is enough for now. I am very thankful for this new adventure! Further up and further in, as they say.

Malinda Parkinson was Hadron Group's first employee in 2019 and has just celebrated her 5th anniversary with us. We took this opportunity to ask her a few questions on her highlights over that time. ? What has been the most interesting project you've worked on in your five years with us, and why? I have worked across so many varied projects that it is hard to choose a favourite or the most interesting. For me personally, I really enjoy working on projects where I feel like I am having an impact. That may be because we are shaping the development and delivery of a major project that will have a significant impact for many people, however in many instances it is more that our team is providing a unique perspective or capability that the client team couldn’t otherwise do, which also has a huge impact. ? What changes have you seen in the industry that interest you? ? NSW is in an interesting place at the moment, coming off the back of significant investment in infrastructure. New light rail and metro networks and the Western Sydney International Airport are just a few examples of major projects that are facilitating major growth and development across greater Sydney. However, we are still facing major challenges including a shortfall in housing and significant gap in affordable housing. Both policy makers and the private sector will play an important role in working through these challenges and it will be great to have the opportunity to help shape this. ? How has your role evolved over the past five years? ? I think most noticeably, my approach to work has evolved to facilitate the juggle between family and work. I used to have the luxury of being able to work wherever and whenever. I am now a lot more focused and prioritise my time more effectively. I am grateful that Hadron Group provides the opportunity for me to work on interesting problems and make a difference whilst also maintaining the flexibility to enjoy quality time with my two little ones.
