Project of the Week: Madison Health Expansion & Renovation — A new look and feel was designed to improve the experience and the impression of care provided at Madison Health, shifting the community’s impression of the ED from a “triage center” to that of high-quality service in a state-of-the-art facility. Lighting, finishes, artwork, furniture and environmental graphic design are integrated to create a cohesive image. As a result, Madison Health has captured more of their market share that was traveling to newer facilities to seek treatment. HEAPY Photographer: Feinknopf Photography

Product photography often utilizes reflective shadows to add depth and dimension to images. Reflective shadows are created when light bounces off surrounding objects and casts subtle shadows onto the product. These shadows can enhance the visual appeal of the product by providing context and realism. When capturing product images with reflective shadows, it's essential to consider the placement of lighting sources to achieve the desired effect. Soft, diffused lighting can help create smooth and natural-looking shadows, while harsh lighting may produce more defined and dramatic shadows. Reflective shadows add texture and visual interest to product photos, making them appear more dynamic and engaging to viewers. Additionally, they can help highlight the contours and features of the product, contributing to its overall presentation and appeal. When used effectively, reflective shadows can elevate product photography and contribute to a more compelling visual narrative. fotocorrect.com

Hey all! Free Pfeature Feature! So, I have a bunch of exceptional nodegroups on my website, and I'm highlighting some of my favs! Quick Vignette Why "Quick"? Because all my nodegroups are built to save time and effort. Things like Quick Vignette and Quick Blur are very easy to build from scratch, but if you wasted an additional 5-10mins on every project, how much time would you gain for other stuff if you simply added a nodegroup? Yeah! A lot! I'll just leave this here: https://lnkd.in/db-EC42A So, the quick vignette is a very simple tool. It creates a darker edge that sets the focus of the viewer in the middle of the frame. It is quite the characteristic of older photographs taken with disposable cameras as well as classic amateur flash photography. It looks good on most renders, but, here are some winners! - Character is walking with a flashlight down a corridor - Interior archviz shots where you typically have stronger ambient occlusion. - Traditional portraits This one is a close relative of one we'll be talking about next week! :D Blessings!! TOP TIP – To dramatically improve your property photography... Your verticals MUST BE VERTICAL! The most important rule in property or architectural photography is your verticals must be true. Basically if a feature is vertical in real life (walls, doors, windows etc...) it must appear vertical in your image. This cannot be broken, it's either right or it's wrong. So how do you achieve this? Your camera (or phone if you have to) MUST be on a tripod, and it must be level horizontally, but more importantly it must be level vertically too – i.e not pointing up, not point down, pointing dead ahead level. Even if your exposure, focus, white balance and lighting are not correct, your verticals must be. The illustration below shows the before image, not taken by a professional, and the after image taken by yours truly. That's why you hire a professional. ??

Stunning photographs can be used in brochures, websites, social media, and other promotional materials to effectively communicate the firm's expertise and style. 2) Architectural photography also serves an important archival purpose. Capturing Large Group Photos: The Art and Precision Photographing large groups can be a complex task that requires attention to detail and careful planning. Every individual must be clearly visible, colors need to complement each other, and consideration must be given to the varying heights and sizes of each person. In the photo below, we managed to bring together 40 people seamlessly. Whether it's for a family portrait, a corporate event, or, as in this case, a leadership class, I approach large group photography like solving a puzzle. Every person must be placed in the right spot, ensuring that no one is simply "there" but rather presented in the best way possible. Creating an image like this requires thinking beyond the ordinary. You need to use the resources around you creatively. In the photograph of the Henderson Leadership class, we utilized two couches, chairs, end tables, and large footstools to keep the group cohesive and visually balanced. Lighting is another critical factor—natural indoor lighting is often too dim, and a single flash won't suffice. For this shot, I used two strobes on either side to ensure even, flattering lighting across the entire group. If you're looking to have your team or organization professionally photographed, I'd love to discuss the many options available to make your vision come to life. The power of one A single fruit in a photograph eliminates distractions, allowing the viewer to focus entirely on the subject. This simplicity can highlight the fruit's details—its texture, colour, and form—in ways that a more cluttered composition cannot. For instance, a close-up shot of a cherry can reveal the delicate sheen on its skin, the subtle variations in its red hue, and the tiny imperfections that make it unique. Fruits carry a wealth of symbolic meanings and can evoke strong emotions. A lone cherry might symbolise purity, temptation, or even fleeting moments of joy, depending on the context and presentation. Using a single fruit allows the photographer to tap into these associations and convey a powerful message with minimal elements. Photographing a single fruit challenges the photographer to be more creative with composition. Without multiple subjects to balance, the focus shifts to how the fruit interacts with its environment. Play with negative space, experiment with different angles, and use lighting to cast intriguing shadows or highlight specific features. Fruits are naturally beautiful subjects, often boasting vibrant colours and appealing shapes. A single piece of fruit can showcase nature’s artistry in its purest form. While a single fruit is a simple subject, the context in which it is placed can tell a rich story. A cherry on a vintage wooden table can evoke nostalgia, while a perfectly ripe fruit in a modern kitchen setting can convey freshness and vitality. The backdrop, props, and even the type of lighting used can all contribute to the narrative you wish to create. The power of a single fruit in photography lies in its ability to distill beauty, emotion, and meaning into a minimalist composition. By focusing on the subtleties of one subject, photographers can create striking images that resonate deeply with viewers. So next time you pick up your camera, consider the humble fruit. simplicity might just be the key #foodphotography #powerful #seasonal #localfood #image
