One moment, you’re celebrating a great call, and the next, you’re questioning your entire pitch because someone hung up on you mid-sentence. Sound familiar? Here’s something that’s been a game-changer for me: stealing ideas and saving them for later. Yep, I said it. Borrowing the good stuff and making it my own has been my lifeline on days when creativity feels out of reach. Here’s what I mean. Cold call openers that break the ice: One day, I heard a teammate start a call with, “Hey, I promise I’m not here to sell you anything... yet.” It caught me off guard (and made me laugh). I decided to give it a try, and guess what? It’s now my go-to opener it disarms prospects and makes the conversation flow naturally. Rejection comebacks that spark curiosity: When a prospect told me, “We’re already working with someone,” I once froze. But I managed to say, “What’s one thing you wish they did better?” That question turned the conversation around. Now, it’s a line I keep in my back pocket for similar moments and it never fails to open up a dialogue. Follow-ups with personality: I once received an email that said, “Just popping into your inbox like a friendly reminder (or a persistent mosquito).” It was clever and humorous, so I adapted it for my follow-ups. It adds a touch of personality that stands out in crowded inboxes. The secret? A swipe file. I keep a running list of phrases, strategies, and ideas I’ve picked up from teammates, calls, LinkedIn, or even movies. (Pro tip: movie dialogues make for amazing subject lines!) To all my fellow SDRs: stop reinventing the wheel every day. Borrow, tweak, and make it your own. Creativity doesn’t mean starting from scratch it means taking inspiration and adding your unique spin. P.S. What’s one idea you’ve “borrowed” and turned into your secret weapon? Write it in comment. #SDRLife #ColdCallingChronicles #SalesWithAPlan #SwipeFileSecrets

Ever had a prospect vanish into thin air? You know, they show interest, you follow up, but then—radio silence. It happens, but silence doesn't mean it's over. With the right approach, you can turn that quiet into a conversation again. Here’s how to re-engage your prospect without being pushy: ?? Acknowledge the pause: Show empathy and understanding. ?? Reframe with value: Offer insights or success stories. ?? Create FOMO: Gently remind them of what they’re missing. Silence is just a pause—turn it into a conversation. Drop me a message if you’re ready to explore more ways to reconnect! #ColdEmailTips #B2BSales #LeadGeneration

Many people still feel ickiness towards cold calls. That's why I put it as a priority to: - let them know right from the start so they don't have to guess - ask for permission to start the conversation - have a genuine conversation Having a conversation doesn't mean point everything to a meeting or a demo. It's actually understanding them by asking questions. Digging deeper. Presenting yourself as a compassionate professional that can both understand and advise on the matter. Steering the conversation so that the meeting would be the next logical step. People want to be heard & understood before they commit. What do you do to initiate a conversation and get the ball rollin'? #SalesStrategy #ColdCalling #CustomerFirst #GenuineConversations #LeadGeneration #SalesApproach #EmpathyInSales

Sometimes, a simple phone call is the fastest way to build a connection, clear up confusion, and align your team. So next time, before you hit “send,” ask yourself: Should I just make the call? #MakeTheCall?#LeadershipTips?#DuskMarketing

I don't care what anyone says... Before you dial, practice your talk-track. I know what you're thinking—who has time for that? But hear me out. Before I pick up the phone, I take 30 seconds to run through three things: ? Why I'm calling ? The research I did to earn the conversation ? Potential objections they might throw my way It’s not about wasting time—it’s about making the most of it. Those quick 30 seconds help me avoid fumbling my words and sounding unsure. It makes a huge difference. I feel more confident, and the conversation flows better. Just my two cents on making cold-calling a little less stressful and a lot more effective ?? #salestips #coldcalling #practice #mentalfortitude

?? Words of wisdom: Be your own hype person. Look, if you don’t celebrate your wins, who will? - Closed a tough ticket? Hype yourself. - Learned how to use a new tool? Hype yourself. - Survived a 3-hour meeting that could’ve been an email? Hype yourself. Your confidence shouldn’t depend on someone else’s recognition. ?? What’s one thing you’ve done lately that deserves a victory lap? Let’s hype each other up below! #HypeYourself #CareerWins #Motivation #LinkedInCommunity

Is ghosting the professional equivalent of giving out your number on a drunken night out? Ever been on a night out, feeling good, and you end up handing your number to someone? The next day, you remember what you did and pray they don’t call. And if they do, you avoid like a pro. ?? Well, it seems like some folks are bringing that same energy to the workplace. They show interest in our outreach, only to vanish when we follow up. Calls go unanswered, emails get ignored – like we’re the overly eager person they regret giving their number to. But you know what: ghosting isn’t just a bit rude; it shows a lack of moral character. In business, trust and respect matter. If ghosting becomes the norm, it’ll come full circle. Those doing it now might find themselves ignored when it’s their turn to reach out. A reputation for being unresponsive can stick – and it’s not a good look. So, here's my advice: - If you’re genuinely not interested, say so. - If you need more time, communicate that. A simple "thanks, but no thanks" goes a long way in maintaining professional respect. Let’s leave the ghosting where it belongs – in awkward dating stories. Unless of course we've just been reaching out to people who were drunk... #awkwarddatingstories #ghosting #sales #leadgeneration #marketing #revenueacceleration

People Buy with Emotion, Not Just Logic, so when speaking to prospects, don’t just ask logical questions about their challenges, ask emotive ones. Instead of: "What would it mean if this problem was resolved?" Try: "How would it make you feel to have this resolved?" #TelemarketingTips #ColdCalling #LeadGeneration
