What's up folks? Interested and excited about #GenerativeAI and eager to contribute towards building state-of-the-art software-hardware stack for #LLM inference? We, at d-Matrix are #hiring across the board in our #AI software team in which we are focused on building the software stack for AI compute hardware. We have roles open for different levels of experiences, whether you are in the early phase of your career or a seasoned industry expert. A few things to note - 1. We have a strong hardware/software co-design approach. So, the software you will help us build requires you to have a strong grasp of computer architecture, data structures, and performance analysis. 2. It is imperative you have strong programming skills. While the particular programming language is of less concern (we believe those skills are transferrable) but C++ and Python are our languages of preference. 3. Understanding of the machine learning fundamentals is a must. While knowing about #largelanguagemodels is preferred but a necessary requirement is the understanding of underlying ops like GEMMs, softmax, layer normalization, etc. 4. The most important point - Please carefully go through the roles I have shared here and reach out only if you think there is a role that aligns with your skills and experience. These are full-time opportunities for folks in the US only. The real risk for Software Engineers is not AI taking away jobs! The real risk is: * Where computer science / core software skills still matter, the complexity and entry barrier is going up rapidly. If you want to compete in this space, better up your game! (Math, Infra, Algorithms, Models, Data Engineering, scalability etc) * Where the software complexity is lower (read where mediocre skills suffice), AI will eventually do the bulk of heavy lifting with code, debugging etc, and the real play will be in understanding the business / use cases / end user experience etc. Which means domain experts from the specific industry / domain (assisted by AI) will have a competitive edge! If you are not truly passionate about computer science / engineering, mediocre software skills no longer suffice.
