What an experience! #cityscape did you hear about it? An exhibition with huge buildings, amazing designs and the most innovative projects in the world. The Saudi Arabian construction market is projected to grow from 70.3 billion in 2024 to 91.3 billion by 2029 (USD). Before coming to Riad, I was living in Spain, and I didn’t know anything about all the ambitious projects that are taking place in the kingdom. For example: NEOM with “The line” a new concept of smart reality. Seems impossible, too difficult to be real... who will live there? It’s reminding me to that times when we all were using a “Nokia”, and we loved it. Everyone had one and it was fabulous. We didn’t need more. Or… yes? BANG. One day, someone came up with an idea about a “smart phone”. “A what?” Music, calls, messages, movies, camera, maps, dating platforms, unlimited access to information… all in one smart device that will occupy the size of your pocket. Probably no one believed, was too perfect to be trusted and then all changed too fast. And my question is, who will believe in an intelligent city that will redefine urban life and sustainability?
