?? Growth doesn't always come with a win, but it always comes with showing up! Just wrapped up the Pitch Perfect micro-pitch competition, where I presented Ephe Collective's game-changing innovation, Chic Suite. You know what? Standing up there, my nerves were definitely doing their thing! ?? But here's what I've learned in my 20+ years in retail and business development: being uncomfortable means you're growing. The last time I pitched Chic Suite was in February, and comparing those two experiences was eye-opening. Each pitch is a masterclass in: Reading your audience Communicating your vision Standing firm in your value proposition Managing those butterflies! ?? To my fellow entrepreneurs: Remember, pitching isn't a one-and-done skill. It's like your favorite outfit - it needs to be tailored, adjusted, and sometimes completely redesigned. And just like styling our executive clients at Ephe Collective, confidence comes from preparation and practice. Big thanks to the Pitch Perfect team for this opportunity. While I didn't take home the win this time, I'm walking away with something equally valuable - clarity on where to strengthen our narrative and a renewed excitement for our next opportunity.

?? On January 23rd, our CEO, Julie Duclercq, shared her insights in the startups spotlight panel at the European Space Conference. This session lead by Jean-Jacques Dordain with Guillaume de La Brosse, Head of Unit for Space innovation, Start-ups, Economics at DG Defence Industry and Space - European Commission, underscored the key role of startups bringing game-changing innovations and the importance of access to institutional contracts for these players. Thierry Breton made New Space a priority of his mandate. This is becoming reality, with Europe turning into a hub for space entrepreneurship. We need to go further, and join ALL forces?together to ensure effective resilience of European communications.? Lehigh University and Technische Universit?t (TU) Dortmund have enjoyed a long history of global partnership and collaboration. Now, researchers from both institutions are teaming up on a project aimed at maintaining and enhancing the well-being of entrepreneurs. Daniela Gimenez Jimenez, Junior Professor of Entrepreneurship at TU Dortmund, is visiting Lehigh to collaborate with Willy Das, Senior Research Scientist and Curriculum Innovation Manager at Lehigh@NasdaqCenter, an exclusive academic-industry partnership between Lehigh University and the Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center. Entrepreneurs often equate business failure with personal failure, and their startups or ventures lack the HR structure that larger businesses have to support wellness. This research aims to redefine entrepreneurial success to include individual well-being and happiness, not just financial or business metrics. 3 reasons I really enjoyed speaking to Antwerp Management School students of sustainable innovation and entrepreneurship last Monday. 1. It's always a useful exercise to explain your company in a few slides and a few words to people who (probably) have never heard of it before. 2.
