March Madness Leads to Year-End Triumph… The last few days of March are a whirlwind, with intense pressure to close deals and hit ambitious quarterly targets. Strategies are meticulously planned and negotiations with clients are ongoing. But when the final numbers are tallied, the elation of exceeding expectations will make all the sacrifices worthwhile. Congratulatory messages and praise pour in from senior leadership, commending the team's grit and performance. As the financial year comes to a close, there is a palpable sense of pride and accomplishment. Celebrations are in order, but also a refocusing of energy and determination. With this success as a catalyst, everyone feels invigorated and eager to take on even bigger challenges in the new fiscal year ahead. The future seems bright and full of possibilities to continue excelling at their roles.

Glad to see trade schools making a comeback! With the rising demand for skilled workers in fields like construction, diesel tech, and computer technology, it's no surprise that enrollment in trade schools has been on the rise. According to recent data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, occupations requiring vocational training are projected to grow faster than the average for all occupations. It’s great to see our leaders recognizing the importance of hands-on training and specialized skills in meeting the demands of the workforce. What other factors do you think are contributing to this renewed interest in trade education?
Lt. Governor Jon Husted was at the Southern Hills Career & Technical Center's groundbreaking ceremony yesterday! The expansion project was made possible by a $4.6 million Career Technical Construction Program grant, helping the school expand their facility to add two new programs – Welding Fabrication and Allied Health Care – to serve up to 100 additional students.

I just returned home this weekend from a big regional area meet in Pensacola and saw this. Wanted to share it as this is the beauty of cross country and how it would apply if we used that same spirit in our work and personal lives. These are not my words but as a 7+ year cross country mom, they very well could be. —- What if we lived life like we were all in a cross country meet? What if we watched other people and recognized that we're all just trying to get across the finish line? What if we understood that some people are running as hard as they can but battling illnesses, invisible injuries, and internal struggles? Every step is hard, but they're trying not to quit. What if we cheered for everyone even if they weren't on our team? What if we realized just finishing something, no matter how long it took us or how messy it seemed, was enough? In fact, it was a win. What if we used every race as an opportunity to learn more about ourselves and how we could use each other for support, inspiration, and help to reach our goals? What if we cheered loud for the winner, but even louder for the one who comes in after because they accomplished something great, too? In a world that tells us it's about me, me, me, what if we started living to support everyone brave enough to be in the race? “So, what does it take to become a SIOR?” I was posed this question by a friend of our company/client last week who’s a CPA. I outlined the origin of the organization, how “SIR” (Society of Industrial Realtors) was formed as a product of WWII and where we stand today as an organization with 4,000 members strong across the globe. I explained how earning the designation was based on consistently meeting production requirements which are set by each chapter. “So, it’s rooted in production instead of education? You don’t just sit for a test to earn it?” “There’s still a test, but it’s definitely a performance-based designation.” “Huh.. I’ve heard of the organization, but assumed you earned it from passing a test. Being performance-based is pretty incredible and good for people to know.” “We (SIOR Global) agree!” It was a good reminder to consistently tell your story, no matter how many times you feel like you’ve told it. It’s more than likely some may not have heard it yet and will enjoy how you tell it.
